Question 3

Yes. Firescience offers freestanding and insert models that can be retrofitted into existing homes with appropriate flue and ventilation planning. Our consultants will assess your space and recommend the best solution.

Use dry, seasoned hardwood such as blue gum, oak, wattle, or rooikrans. Avoid wet wood, treated timber, or softwoods as they reduce efficiency and increase creosote buildup. A closed combustion fireplace uses approximately 2-3 kg of wood per hour.
